Pop star Dua Lipa and actor Callum Turner are currently celebrating their wedding with a three-day extravaganza in Sicily, Italy, running from 5 to 7 June 2026. The guest list includes celebrities such as Charli XCX, Mark Ronson, Tove Lo, and Donatella Versace. Sir Elton John is strongly tipped to perform live during the festivities.
The main ceremony is being held at Villa Valguarnera in Bagheria, an 18th-century Baroque palace. The venue has a turbulent past: during the 1980s, it was seized by the Cosa Nostra mafia, who allowed a wild boar to roam the ballroom and airlifted a statue from the gardens by helicopter. The estate was later reclaimed by Italian Princess Vittoria Alliata di Villafranca.
The hire fee for exclusive use of Villa Valguarnera starts at approximately €15,000 to €25,000 for multi-day events, though ultra-luxury weddings can cost millions. The property includes 700 square metres of indoor reception rooms, 1,300 square metres of outdoor terraces, and three luxury suites.
The couple has also hired two floors of the five-star hotel Villa Igiea, a Belle Époque palace that once hosted King Edward VII and King George V. The hotel is accommodating guests and hosting gala dinners and private coastal boat rides. Additional celebrations are taking place at Palazzo Valguarnera-Gangi, the setting for the ballroom scene in the 1963 film The Leopard.
Dua Lipa and Callum Turner chose Palermo after falling in love with the city during a holiday. A local venue manager recalled the pair behaving like an ordinary couple, playing cards and sipping drinks. The wedding follows a private legal ceremony on 31 May 2026 at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London, attended by eight guests.
