Her silver Mercedes E Class vehicle was discovered parked opposite the pub, prompting immediate concern from police. The force has confirmed that they are focusing their efforts on searching nearby water bodies and wooded areas, where her car was found, in an attempt to locate her.
Detective Inspector Alice Draper from Cambridgeshire Constabulary stated, "I'm appealing to anyone who may have seen Carol on or since Sunday to get in touch with us so we can target our searches. We still hold out hope of finding Carol alive, but specialist officers are searching areas of water in the vicinity where her car was found. If anyone has seen her or has dashcam footage, it would really help us to narrow down our search area."
