Two individuals have been formally charged with murder in connection with the tragic death of a three-year-old boy in south-east London. Tanisha Henry, aged 28, and Mikael Williams, aged 30, are accused of the murder of Isiayah Henry, a young child from Woolwich who passed away on 19 January.

Isiayah Henry was admitted to hospital earlier in January with severe injuries, leading to his death on 19 January. The Metropolitan Police were alerted to the hospital on 3 January after concerns were raised about the nature of his injuries, prompting an immediate safeguarding and criminal investigation.

In addition to the murder charge, Henry and Williams also face charges of causing or allowing the death of a child, as detailed in court documents. The pair made an initial appearance at Woolwich Crown Court and are scheduled to reappear on 22 April for further proceedings.
