
Two men are facing serious charges after a harrowing alleged kidnapping incident in New South Wales, where a woman was reportedly abducted at knifepoint in a brazen daylight attack.
The Disturbing Allegations
According to police reports, the terrifying ordeal began when a 31-year-old woman was allegedly forced into a vehicle by two men in the Lake Macquarie area. The suspects, identified as Nathan Black, 39, and Timothy John Trautsch, 38, are accused of threatening the victim with a knife during the abduction.
Police Response and Arrests
NSW Police swiftly responded to reports of the incident, locating the allegedly stolen vehicle involved in the kidnapping. Officers from the Raptor Squad, a specialist police unit targeting organised crime, conducted a high-risk traffic stop on the Pacific Highway at Ourimbah.
"The woman was located in the vehicle and was not physically injured," a police spokesperson confirmed, adding that she was receiving necessary support following the traumatic experience.
Charges Laid
Both suspects now face serious charges including:
- Take/detain person with intent to obtain advantage (kidnapping)
- Assault with intent to take/detain
- Possess prohibited drug
- Possess unauthorised pistol
- Possess ammunition without licence
Black faces additional charges of possessing a knife in a public place and driving while disqualified.
Court Proceedings
The accused men appeared at Wyong Local Court, where they were formally refused bail. The case has been adjourned to allow for further police investigations, with both defendants scheduled to reappear in court at a later date.
