A devastated mother has demanded justice after her 15-year-old son was stabbed to death on his way to school in a senseless attack that has shocked the community.
The teenager, described as a "kind and loving boy" by his family, was ambushed near his school in what police believe was a targeted assault. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but despite their efforts, the boy succumbed to his injuries.
"He Was Just a Child"
Speaking through tears, the boy's mother said: "My son was just a child with his whole life ahead of him. He went to school that morning like any other day – I never imagined it would be the last time I'd see him alive."
She added: "This knife crime epidemic has to stop. How many more parents have to bury their children before something is done?"
Community in Mourning
The tragedy has left the local community reeling, with floral tributes and messages piling up at the scene of the attack. Schoolmates described the victim as "funny and popular", while teachers remembered him as a "bright student with so much potential".
Local MP has called for an urgent meeting with police and education officials to address youth violence in the area. "This is every parent's worst nightmare," the MP stated. "We need immediate action to prevent further tragedies."
Police Investigation Ongoing
Detectives have launched a murder investigation and are appealing for witnesses. Several arrests have been made, but police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
A police spokesperson said: "This was a horrific attack on a young boy who should have been safe going to school. We're determined to bring those responsible to justice."
The case has reignited the national debate about knife crime, with campaigners calling for tougher sentences and more youth intervention programmes.
