Emergency services descended on the quiet cul-de-sac of Amy Street, Winston Hills, just after 3:30 PM on Wednesday following reports of a shooting. The normally peaceful neighbourhood was immediately cordoned off as police secured the area.
Paramedics from NSW Ambulance treated a man, believed to be in his 40s, at the scene for critical gunshot wounds before urgently transporting him to Westmead Hospital. His condition remains serious but stable.
