A stolen car was discovered on its roof following a crash that closed a road in Pembrokeshire for more than 12 hours, according to Dyfed-Powys Police.
Incident Details
Police received a report at 7.25pm on Tuesday that a white Ford Focus had been taken without the owner's consent in the Broad Haven area. Fifteen minutes later, at 7.40pm, the vehicle was located after it had “rolled onto its roof” just before Portfield Gate near Haverfordwest. No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
Road Closure and Investigation
The B4341 was closed in both directions until Wednesday morning to allow for collision investigation work. The closure lasted over 12 hours, causing disruption for local motorists.
Arrest and Charges
The driver, a 41-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, dangerous driving, and drink- and drug-driving. He was taken to hospital for a check-up before being transferred to custody, where he remains.
