A Romanian criminal with a violent past inherited the home of a frail widow he had never met—only to sell it for £375,000 and later be caught running a cannabis farm inside the property.
The shocking case unfolded after the elderly woman passed away, leaving her home to the man, who had no connection to her. Police later discovered the property had been converted into an illegal cannabis operation.
Investigators revealed the man had a history of violent offenses, including wielding a knife in previous crimes. Despite never attending the widow's funeral or having any known relationship with her, he legally inherited the house due to an unusual clause in her will.
Neighbours expressed outrage, claiming the widow had been vulnerable and may have been manipulated. "He didn’t even know her," one local said. "It’s disgusting that he profited from her death and turned her home into a drug den."
