A private investigator has disclosed unusual signs that may indicate a partner is cheating, including an obsessive protection of their phone and increased time away from home. Jack Charman, managing director of National Private Investigators, told The Mirror that these behaviours are common among unfaithful partners.
Charman emphasised that many people ignore these warning signs for years, which can prolong the pain of infidelity. He advised that addressing these three key indicators—phone secrecy, emotional distance, and absence—can help individuals move forward.
The investigator also warned about partners leading double lives, which involves more complex and sociopathic behaviour with larger lies. He explained that his work often involves confirming or denying suspicions of cheating, one of the most common reasons clients hire him.
Charman noted that his caseload varies, with five to ten jobs running simultaneously, ranging from a few hours to months. He provides evidence to help clients resolve their situations and move on.
