British Transport Police (BTP) have issued an urgent public appeal following a violent assault at Westminster Tube station that left a victim with significant facial injuries.
The disturbing incident occurred on the District and Circle line platforms shortly after 10:15 pm on Saturday, 27 April. According to investigators, an altercation broke out between two men before it escalated into a physical attack.
Detectives have now released a clear CCTV image of a suspect they urgently wish to identify and speak to in connection with the assault. The individual is described as a white male with short brown hair, last seen wearing a distinctive blue t-shirt featuring a large white motif on the front.
Appeal for Witnesses
BTP is urging anyone who was travelling through Westminster station that evening, particularly between 10:15 pm and 10:45 pm, to come forward with any information. Investigators are especially keen to speak to passengers who may have witnessed the altercation or who recognise the individual in the released photograph.
"We're appealing for anyone who recognises this man, or who has any information about the assault, to contact us immediately," a BTP spokesperson stated.
