Keli Holiday, one half of the Australian electronic duo Peking Duk, has been denied entry to the United States while attempting to re-enter from Canada for a scheduled concert in New York. Holiday reported that he was detained at the border despite possessing valid visa documentation.
Tour Cut Short
As a result of the incident, Holiday was forced to cut his tour short and has since returned to his native Australia. The musician expressed disappointment over the situation, which disrupted his planned performances.
Girlfriend's Apology
Following the border incident, Holiday's girlfriend, Abbie Chatfield, separately issued an apology for a poorly aimed joke she made in a social media post about President Donald Trump in July 2025. The post, which she later deleted, was deemed inappropriate by some observers.
The incident comes amid new U.S. rules for foreign tourists, which now require visitors to provide all social media handles they have used in the past five years as part of enhanced vetting procedures.
