Man stabbed to death in Birmingham, murder probe launched

Police have launched a murder investigation following a fatal stabbing in the Small Heath area of Birmingham.

Emergency Response on Swanage Road

Emergency services were called to an address on Swanage Road at 6.40pm on Saturday, 20 December. Despite the rapid response, a man was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers from West Midlands Police have confirmed that a murder probe is now active.

Arrest Made in Connection

As part of their urgent enquiries, detectives have arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody for questioning. The investigation is in its early stages, and a police scene remains in place on Swanage Road as forensic work continues.

Appeal for Information from the Public

In a statement, police expressed the tragedy of the incident, confirming that nothing could be done to save the victim. They are now urging anyone with information to assist their investigation.
