A man has tragically died following a drive-by shooting at a petrol station in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, sparking a major police investigation.
Officers were called to the scene late on Tuesday night after reports of gunfire. Despite emergency efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
West Yorkshire Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects, believed to have fled in a vehicle. Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Jones described the incident as "targeted and reckless," urging anyone with information to come forward.
"This was a brazen act of violence that has left a family devastated," she said. "We are following multiple lines of enquiry and need the public's help."

Local residents expressed horror at the attack, which took place near a busy retail area. One witness, who asked not to be named, said: "It sounded like fireworks at first—then we realised it was gunshots. It's terrifying."
