West Midlands Police have launched a public appeal to help identify a man whose body was discovered inside a wheelie bin in Coventry, with investigators suspecting he may have been the victim of a hit-and-run incident before being moved to the location.

The grim discovery was made at approximately 5pm on Friday in Cash's Park, situated off Daimler Road in Coventry. Emergency services were called to the scene after reports of a body found inside a wheelie bin. Police have since confirmed the victim is believed to be a male aged between 40 and 50 years old.

In their appeal, West Midlands Police have released details of distinctive tattoos found on the man's body, which they hope will assist with identification. The victim has a tattoo on his back depicting a cross with a snake wrapped around it, accompanied by the words "Little Stardust." Additionally, his right arm bears a tattoo reading 'nan' alongside a clover and the colours of the Irish flag.
Police have also shared an image of the wheelie bin in which the body was discovered, though they have not specified whether this was the original crime scene or a secondary location where the body was placed after death.
