An eight-year-old child and a 39-year-old man have been hospitalised after a car struck pedestrians and collided with a motorway service station building in Wales. The incident occurred at Cardiff Gate services, situated near junction 30 of the M4, at approximately 11:45 am today, according to South Wales Police.

Three individuals were transported to hospital: the child and the man, both pedestrians, along with a 76-year-old woman who was driving the vehicle. Authorities have confirmed that none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

A witness described the scene, stating that a black BMW hit people seated at an outdoor table before crashing into the main building. “It was awful,” the witness recounted. “Around 15 people attempted to lift the car off the victims.” The impact shattered the building’s glass frontage.
