Shocking CCTV footage has emerged showing a brutal assault in Erith, south-east London, leaving a man unconscious in broad daylight. The incident, which occurred near a local shopping area, has sparked an urgent police investigation.
The Metropolitan Police have released the harrowing footage in hopes of identifying the attacker. The video shows the victim being struck from behind before collapsing to the pavement, where he remains motionless as the assailant flees the scene.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detectives from the Met's South East Command Unit are urging anyone with information to come forward. "This was a cowardly attack that left an innocent man seriously injured," a police spokesperson stated. "We're particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have been in the area at the time."
