A 10-year-old boy's birthday party in Nevada descended into a scene of horror after he plunged a staggering 20 feet from a zipline onto a concrete floor, sustaining a serious concussion. The child, named Knox, was celebrating at the Spy Ninjas attraction in Las Vegas when the aerial ride went terribly wrong.
Chilling Video Captures the Terrifying Moment
Sickening video footage obtained by Inside Edition, recorded on February 7, shows the exact moment Knox plummeted from the zipline as horrified witnesses screamed below. The clip reveals Knox appearing to test his weight before stepping off the platform, relying on his harness to carry him along the line.
Just seconds later, the harness apparently failed, sending the boy crashing to the ground below. According to his family, he landed directly on his back from the significant height.
Chaos and Immediate Response
The video audio captures someone screaming "Oh my god!" as Knox can be heard moaning in clear pain. His uncle, Navonte Hill, who filmed the incident, can be heard off-camera trying to calm the boy, saying "Calm down, baby, calm down. Breathe, baby. We need an ambulance."
Several adults urgently instructed Knox to "stay still" as he cried out in pain while they waited for medical personnel to arrive. Hill later described it as the "scariest moment" watching his nephew fall from such a height, noting that "it seemed like it was in slow motion."
Off-Duty Nurse Provides Critical Assistance
Fortunately, an off-duty nurse named Stacy Houston was present at the venue celebrating a different birthday party. She was able to provide immediate medical assistance to Knox until emergency services arrived. Houston told 8 News Now that she stabilized the boy's C-spine, holding his head securely in place to prevent further injury.
"It was just chaos," Houston recalled of the scene. She noted that Knox actually fell in the best possible area, as there were no arcade games or other obstacles directly beneath him. "Had he broken just five seconds later, he would've tumbled into those arcade games, and it would've been a completely different point of breakage," she explained.

The family remains uncertain about what exactly caused the accident but believes it was some kind of harness malfunction. Spy Ninjas issued a statement emphasizing that "nothing matters more to us than the safety and well-being of our guests."
The company stated that their staff "responded immediately" and followed proper protocol after the incident. Spy Ninjas extended their wishes for "a full and speedy recovery" to Knox and his family.
