A large emergency services presence has been reported on a new housing estate off Lickers Lane in Whiston, with armed police at the scene and a police helicopter circling the area.
Road cordoned off
Redware Lane, part of the new estate being built off Lickers Lane, has been cordoned off by police. A number of police officers are currently on the road.
Merseyside Police have been approached for further details about the nature of the incident.
