Nigerian pastor's daughter fatally shot in New Jersey

Police in New Jersey are investigating the shocking murder of a 30-year-old woman with ties to a Nigerian church, who was found shot dead inside her car in Sayreville.

Eunice Dwumfour, described as a devoted member of the Champions Royal Assembly, was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds on Wednesday evening. Authorities have yet to determine a motive but confirm she was specifically targeted.

Religious Connections Under Scrutiny

Dwumfour, whose father is a pastor in Abuja, Nigeria, served as a financial secretary for her church. Investigators are examining whether her religious affiliations played any role in the killing.

"This appears to be a deliberate act," said Sayreville Police Chief John Zebrowski. "We're exploring all angles, including her church involvement and personal relationships."

Community in Shock

The killing has rattled the quiet suburban community, where violent crime is rare. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots before discovering the gruesome scene.

Dwumfour, who worked in home healthcare, was known as a kind and generous person. "She was always helping others," said a tearful neighbor. "This makes no sense."

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as they work to unravel this disturbing case.
