In a brazen attack, armed gunmen stormed a rural community in northwest Nigeria, kidnapping more than 50 people in the latest wave of abductions plaguing the region.
Local officials reported that the assailants, believed to be armed bandits, raided the area under the cover of darkness, seizing men, women, and children from their homes. The exact location of the attack has not been disclosed for security reasons.
