General Hospital actress Kirsten Storms has claimed that her cell phone was hacked, leading to an investigation by police in Franklin, Tennessee. Franklin Police Department MPIO Max Winitz confirmed to the Daily Mail that an active investigation is underway.
Storms, 42, alleged in an Instagram video on April 9 that outside forces interfered with her phone, prompting her to take extra precautions. She recorded the clip on an old device, explaining she would upload it quickly and then turn the device off.
She detailed issues including deleted emails, photos, and videos, some of which she said were submitted to the Franklin Police Department as evidence. Storms also posted images of a damaged door latch and lock, suggesting a break-in at her apartment in the Legacy Cool Springs Building.
In a subsequent April 14 post, Storms shared a ring camera video she claimed showed someone outside her door after her WiFi router was reset. She expressed hope that the building would cooperate with police.
The actress's claims come as her ex-husband, Brandon Barash, 46, filed court documents stating that Storms told him she was experiencing delusions and hallucinations in May 2025. Barash sought a restraining order, citing concerns for their daughter, Harper Rose, 12.
Barash alleged that Storms has a history of housing instability, often staying with friends or hotels, and changing rooms out of paranoia. He also claimed her vehicle is near repossession and she owes him a $5,000 loan. Storms was reportedly placed on a psychiatric hold at a mental health facility.
Storms, who has played Maxie on General Hospital since 2005, previously disclosed treatment for a brain aneurysm. Fans on Reddit expressed sympathy, noting her health struggles and hoping she receives help.
