The terrifying incident occurred at the LakeNorman Veterinary Clinic on North Main Street in Cornelius, sending a huge plume of black smoke into the air and shaking the surrounding area just after 11:30 AM on Thursday.
Heroic Evacuation Saves Every Life
In a remarkable display of presence of mind, the clinic's staff are being hailed as heroes for their immediate response to the initial smell of gas. Before emergency services even arrived, the team executed a full-scale evacuation of the entire facility.
