A three-year-old girl was kidnapped following a brutal double murder in her family home in Cuautitlán, Mexico, sparking a major police manhunt for her father, the prime suspect.
Horrific Scene Discovered by Relatives
Relatives made a grim discovery on Wednesday, 14 January 2026, after becoming concerned about the family. Cindy de Jesús, 25, and her 52-year-old mother, Teresita, were found dead on the floor of their home, having suffered fatal blunt force trauma. A six-year-old boy, who is the brother of the missing toddler, was found locked in a bathroom, crying.
Rafael Tavera Guadarrama, Teresita's brother, recounted the moment he found the scene. "My sister called me from the United States and told me to go check on my sister because she wasn’t answering any of her calls," he said. "When we got there, I opened the door and found a horrible scene."
Father Suspected of Murder and Kidnapping
The missing child, three-year-old Erika Camila, was swiftly identified as having been taken by her biological father, identified by authorities as Antonio 'N'. He is suspected of murdering the two women and kidnapping his daughter. Police believe a hammer found at the scene was the weapon used in the attack.
The family's pet chihuahua was also found dead, and several belongings were reported stolen. Mayor of Cuautitlán, Juana Carrillo Luna, confirmed that the young girl, once found, would be placed in the care of authorities.
Toddler Found Alive as Suspect Flees
In a positive development early on Thursday, 15 January 2026, police located Erika Camila alive. She was found at a flat approximately three miles away in Tultepec. However, Antonio 'N' managed to flee the scene and remains at large, described by police as dangerous.
The investigation has revealed a troubling history. Rafael shared that his sister Teresita, who was disabled and could not use her legs, had previously reported Antonio to police for domestic violence. This came after he allegedly caused serious injuries to three-year-old Erika's femur. That investigation was closed after the child's mother, Cindy, claimed it was an accident.
The six-year-old boy who survived the ordeal provided a chilling account to his relatives. He told them, "My dad is a bad person, he killed my mom." The community is now left reeling from the violence, as the search for the suspect continues.
