A Somalian man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a serious stabbing incident in north Belfast on Monday night. The attack occurred in the Kinnaird Avenue area shortly after 10:30 PM, leaving a man in his 40s with significant injuries to his face, neck, and back.
Arrest and Investigation
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed that a man in his 30s, believed to be Somalian, was taken into custody and remains there as investigations continue. The injured man is currently in hospital, where his condition is described as serious.
Witness Accounts
Local residents described scenes of chaos following the assault. Shocking videos circulating online appear to show the victim being repeatedly stabbed in the head. In the footage, two bystanders can be seen stepping in to assist the wounded man on the ground before emergency services arrived.
