Prosecutors have been granted permission to access Tiger Woods' medical records in the case concerning his latest DUI arrest, but those notes will not be made public. The verdict was reached at a brief hearing in Martin County on Tuesday morning, as reported by TC Palm. Woods, 50, was not present at the hearing; he is currently undergoing rehabilitation in Switzerland following his arrest on March 27.
Protective Order Shields Records
Woods' attorney, Douglas Duncan, sought to limit the scope of who could view the records, arguing that Woods has a right to privacy regarding them. Both sides agreed on a protective order that shields the medical records from public view. Prosecutors have sought access to determine whether Woods was advised not to drive while taking prescription medication for the various ailments he is managing.
Woods' Recent Medical Issues
In 2025 alone, Woods has undergone surgery for a torn Achilles tendon, followed by a seventh back procedure. These medical challenges have raised questions about his use of prescription drugs and their potential impact on his ability to drive safely.
More details are expected to follow as the case progresses.
