Family Pleads for Answers After Nuneaton Motorcyclist's Death

The family of Craig Shwajczuk, a 37-year-old motorcyclist from Nuneaton, has issued a heartfelt plea for witnesses following his death in a collision on Kingswood Road on April 19. Shwajczuk left home for what was meant to be a 20-minute ride but never returned, leaving his partner Sarah and their five children devastated.

Family's Desperate Appeal

In a statement released through Warwickshire Police, the family said: "As a family, we desperately need answers. Craig left home for what should have been a short ride before spending time with his family and friends. Instead, he never came home." They urged anyone with information, no matter how small, to contact police. "Every piece of information could help the investigation and bring us closer to understanding what happened that day."

A Devoted Family Man

Describing Craig, the family emphasized that "family meant everything to him." He was a motorbike enthusiast and a well-known figure in the local community. "He had countless friends and whether it was helping someone repair a car or motorbike, offering advice, or simply being there when someone needed a laugh, Craig always made time for people," the family said. "He was trustworthy, loyal, honest and incredibly kind-hearted."

Craig loved motorbikes, cars, vans, and camping. Riding his motorbike was his way of relaxing and unwinding. He did not drink alcohol or use drugs. One of his biggest passions was making memories with his family. He was converting a camper van to take Sarah and the children traveling and exploring new places. He loved taking his children on adventures, especially long walks through the woods.

Heartbreaking Loss

The family described Craig as the "rock of the family" with a larger-than-life personality. "His sudden death has left an enormous hole that can never be filled," they said. His partner Sarah has "lost her best friend and the person she planned her future with" and now faces life as a single parent to their two young children. "The children are still trying to understand and adapt to a world without their dad, something no child should ever have to face," the family added.

Police Investigation

The collision occurred at approximately 11:50 am on Sunday, April 19, as Shwajczuk was riding a blue off-road style motorbike along Kingswood Road. Police revealed that a second motorbike, orange in color with the number 22 in large white lettering on the front and both sides, had been traveling alongside the blue bike before the collision. Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed Shwajczuk riding in the area prior to the incident or who may have dashcam, CCTV, doorbell footage, or any other relevant information to come forward.

Information can be passed on by calling 101 or contacting Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
