Three passengers were taken to hospital after a medical emergency on a Eurowings flight from Greece to Germany. The Airbus A321-200, operating flight EW9631 from Rhodes to Düsseldorf, was given a priority landing at the German airport after several people on board reported feeling unwell.
Priority Landing Requested
The flight crew requested the priority landing at Düsseldorf Airport on 18 October 2026. After landing, medical staff examined and cared for three affected passengers on site. As a precaution, these passengers were then transferred to hospital.
A Eurowings spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating: "We can confirm that several guests on Eurowings flight EW9631 from Rhodes to Dusseldorf on 18 October 2026 felt very unwell during the flight."
Passengers and Crew
The aircraft carried 212 guests and seven crew members. All other passengers continued their journeys home as normal, according to the airline.
The spokesperson added: "The cause of the symptoms is unclear and is being looked into. The safety and health of our guests and crews is always Eurowings' top priority."
