Singer Yeison Jimenez Dies in Colombia Plane Crash

Colombian music star Yeison Jimenez has been killed alongside five others after the light aircraft carrying them to a concert crashed and burst into flames shortly after take-off.

A Fatal Take-Off and a Haunting Premonition

The tragic accident occurred on Saturday after the aircraft failed to gain height following its departure from Paipa Airport in Colombia's Tundama Province. Eyewitnesses reported hearing screams of 'It's running out of runway' as the plane reached the end of the airstrip before impacting the ground in a fireball.

In a chilling revelation, the 34-year-old singer-songwriter had previously spoken in a podcast interview about repeatedly dreaming he would die in an air accident. "I start dreaming about a very delicate subject, which is that we were going to have an accident," Jimenez had said, describing two specific dreams while on tour in Spain.

The Victims and a Final Farewell

Colombia's Civil Aviation Authority confirmed the deaths of all six occupants. The victims included:

  • The pilot, Hernando Torres
  • The co-pilot, Juan Manuel Rodriguez
  • Passengers Oscar Marin and Jefferson Osorio
  • Singer Yeison Jimenez
  • His photographer, Weisman Mora, who posted a poignant final video from the plane just before departure

The aircraft, understood to belong to Jimenez's firm YJ Company SAS, was en route to the city of Medellín, near Marinilla, where the performer was due to play a show.

Outpouring of Grief and Tributes

Before boarding the fatal flight, Jimenez posted a solemn message on Instagram: "Always humble, because what God gives you he can also take away." His daughter, Camila Jimenez, reacted to the tragedy, posting: "I love you dad. You don't know how much it hurts me to see your videos and for you not to be here."

Fans and the music community have flooded social media with tributes, remembering Jimenez as a brilliant artist and loving father. One fan wrote: "God have you in his glory. Rest in peace. You were a great man... I still can't believe what's happened."

The singer, who began performing at the age of seven and had toured internationally, leaves behind a legacy cut short by the devastating crash.
