Motorists in Shotts have been warned over road closures in the coming weeks. The B717 Burnbrae Road will be closed from 4am to 5pm on Sunday, August 23, for the refurbishment of road markings. Station Road will be closed for one day on August 30 for carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out.
Diversion routes for B717 Burnbrae Road closure
Vehicles on the north side of the closure wishing access to the south side of the closure should proceed via B7010 Main Street, Stane Road and A71. Vehicles on the south side of the closure wishing access to the north side of the closure should proceed vice versa.
Vehicular and pedestrian access will be permitted where practical during the closures.
Diversion routes for Station Road closure
Vehicles on the south side of the closure on B717 Burnbrae Road wishing access to the north side of the closure on B717 Benhar Road should travel via B717 Burnbrae Road, A71 Allanton Road, A71, A71 Morningside Road, A73 Westwood Road, A73, A73 Carlisle Road, A73 Bellside Road, B7066 Glasgow and Edinburgh Road, B7066 Hirst Road, B717 Shotts Road and B717 Benhar Road.
Vehicles on the north side of the closure on B717 Benhar Road wishing access to the south side of the closure on B717 Burnbrae Road should proceed vice versa.
