A residential road in Bridgend County Borough is set to be temporarily closed this month while gas mains replacement works are carried out.
Closure Details
Ty Canol in Nottage, Porthcawl will be closed at times from June 29 until July 10, 2026. The published order said the work is anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm and that the closure is in the interest of public safety.
It said: “The order will come into force on the 17/06/2026 and will continue in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. It is anticipated that the planned works will be undertaken between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 from 29/06/2026 to 10/07/2026.”
It added: “No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed approximately 100m of Ty Canol, from junction with West Road to its junction with Pyle Road, Nottage, Porthcawl. The alternative route for vehicles is via Pyle Road, Heol-Y-Capel, West Road, and vice versa.”
