Norwich Airport Shuts Down as Air Traffic Controllers Strike

Norwich Airport has shut down all flights as Air Traffic Control workers walked out amid industrial action.

Airport Closure Details

Passengers due to fly to and from Norwich Airport have been asked to contact their airlines before travelling. The closure was put into place at 8am today and will remain enforced until 1pm.

An announcement on the Norwich Airport website reads: "Due to the ongoing industrial action, short of a strike, involving Prospect union members in Air Traffic Control, Norwich Airport will be closed to air traffic between 08:00 and 13:00 tomorrow, Friday 21 August. Airlines have been informed of the closure.
