All traffic has been stopped on the M6 northbound in Cheshire after a lorry burst into flames this morning (August 21).
Incident Location and Response
The incident is between junctions 18 at Middlewich and 19 at Knutsford. Firefighters have been pictured at the scene. Queues are building up, stretching past junction 18 on the northbound carriageway.

A post from the Inrix traffic monitoring service said: "All traffic being temporarily held and queueing traffic due to lorry fire on M6 Northbound from J18 A54 Middlewich Road (Middlewich / Holmes Chapel) to J19 A556 (Knutsford)."
