A huge fire has broken out in the village of Llay in Wrexham, with North Wales Fire and Rescue Service urging the public to keep away from the area.
The incident is taking place late on Wednesday night, October 7, with fire crews at the scene. Huge plumes of smoke have been seen filling the night sky, with flames visible as emergency crews work.
Fire service statement
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said in a statement: "We're currently in attendance at an incident in Llay. Please keep away from the area whilst we deal with the incident."
Local Councillor for Brymbo Paul Rogers posted pictures showing the blaze, with huge plumes of smoke filling the night sky and flames visible as emergency crews work at the scene.
Public urged to avoid area
He said on X: "The view from Brymbo tonight. Huge fire in Llay, Wrexham. Thoughts with everyone affected and also North Wales Fire and Rescue Service."
One local resident wrote on social media: "Hope you all stay safe, thank you for your service."
The public is urged to avoid the area while work is underway at the scene.
