A Jet2 flight travelling from Greece to Manchester Airport was forced to divert to Split in Croatia on Friday, October 30, after a "technical issue" with the aircraft.
Flight LS1750 had departed the Greek island of Samos at 1.38pm local time and had been scheduled to arrive in Manchester at 3.30pm UK time before the detour.
Safe Landing and Replacement Aircraft
Jet2 confirmed in a statement that the flight from Samos had to be diverted to Split because of the technical issue. The aircraft landed safely, and a replacement aircraft was arranged to fly to the Croatian city to take customers home to the UK.
A Jet2 spokesperson said: "Flight LS1750 from Samos to Manchester diverted to Split this afternoon (Friday 30th October) due to a technical issue. The aircraft landed safely and a replacement aircraft is on its way to Split to fly customers home."
Apology to Customers
The spokesperson added: "The health, safety and well-being of everyone onboard will always be our number one priority and we would of course like to sincerely apologise to customers for this experience."
