Antonee Robinson Transfer Stance Amid Man United Links

Antonee Robinson has admitted he could depart Fulham if a club meets their valuation for his services. The full-back has caught the eye for the United States at the World Cup, sparking reports linking him with Manchester United.

Manchester United's Left-Back Search

Michael Carrick is keen to strengthen at left-back, Robinson's natural position, with Luke Shaw standing out as the only senior option available next season. Tyrell Malacia is heading for the exit as a free agent this summer, while Patrick Dorgu is expected to operate in a more advanced role under the new boss.

Sky Sports News reports that Robinson has emerged as a fresh target for Carrick alongside Newcastle's Lewis Hall, who remains under close observation by the club. The American has previously spoken publicly about speculation linking him with a departure from Fulham.

Robinson's Stance on a Move

Robinson acknowledged that while he is happy at Craven Cottage, the prospect of a move holds genuine appeal. Speaking to Marca in 2024, the 28-year-old said: "I'm very happy here. The fact that there is interest from other teams is great.

"Obviously, it all comes down to whether someone wants me enough to pay what Fulham would ask. So, if the club sees it as a good idea, I would leave."

Former Fulham boss Marco Silva heaped praise on the defender during his time in south-west London, singling out his defensive qualities as a major asset to the squad. He said: "He never stops going up and down, and, on top of that, in attack, he is decisive.

"He is a great athlete, but I would highlight, above all, the way in which he has been improving in our defensive process. He had to defend many one-on-one situations with Salah and, despite having a yellow card since the 27th minute, he was brave and aggressive, in a good way."

Robinson's Impact at Fulham

Robinson has been a dependable presence at Fulham since arriving from Wigan Athletic in 2020. The full-back has chipped in with four goals and 22 assists across 215 appearances for the Cottagers, consistently catching the eye in the Premier League.

While United have alternative targets, including Hall, Robinson is regarded as the more budget-friendly option. Reports have indicated that Fulham could be willing to accept a fee in the region of £28 million.

The 28-year-old appears receptive to a switch, though his current club are navigating a period of upheaval, with Silva having left his post and Alvaro Arbeloa in advanced discussions to succeed him. This could yet prove a stumbling block for United, who would likely need to move swiftly should Robinson continue to impress at the World Cup.
