YouTubers discover quiet secret of Wetherspoon hotels

YouTube creators Ash and Kels, who have travelled to 65 countries, were amazed by their first stay at a Wetherspoon hotel. They previously did not know the pub chain operated hotels until recently.

The couple booked a room at The Wyndham Arms in Bridgend, Wales. Upon arriving, they noted the pub was 'really busy' before heading upstairs. Ash remarked: 'Straight away the noise of the pub has gone.' Kels added: 'Which is crazy because it's literally there. The minute that door closes, silence.'

Inside the room, they were impressed by the facilities, including a feature wall with Wetherspoon carpet design. However, Ash critiqued the flooring: 'One half of the carpet is this swirly pattern and the other half... they should just have one or the other.'

Kels praised the room's modernity and value: 'For £55, that's an insane deal... it's nice, it's modern, it's clean, I have no complaints really. I thought you would have been able to hear noise downstairs... but the minute you come through that first door, there's no noise.'

Wetherspoon hotels are typically above or near its pubs. Rooms include en suite, tea and coffee, hair dryer, TV and WiFi. Bookings are via the app or website. The chain has over 50 hotels across the UK and Dublin, with rates from £55 per night.
