Blackpool Pleasure Beach Resort has been recognised as one of the world's top theme parks in Tripadvisor's 2026 Travellers' Choice Awards. The seaside attraction ranked sixth in Europe and tenth globally in the Amusement & Water Parks category, making it the highest-rated theme park in the United Kingdom.
The park outperformed other UK entries in the top 20, including Paultons Park in eighth place, Alton Towers in 14th, and Drayton Manor in 18th. The Travellers' Choice: Best of the Best Awards honour fewer than one per cent of listings on Tripadvisor, based on the volume and quality of reviews over the past 12 months.
Amanda Thomson OBE, CEO of Pleasure Beach Resort, said: “The theme park industry is operating at an incredibly high standard, so to be recognised not just as one of Europe’s best but among the world’s finest is a real honour. Guest experience is at the heart of what we do, and these results are a wonderful reflection of that commitment.”
The recognition comes during a landmark year as the park celebrates its 130th anniversary. Last year, it won four awards at the 2025 Theme Park UK Awards and was named Best Large Visitor Attraction at the Lancashire Tourism Awards. Next month, on 21 May, the park will open its new ride, Aviktas, a 138ft giant swing, the tallest of its kind in the UK.
