A man in Tenerife has left social media users astonished after revealing the price of his full English breakfast. The TikTok user, known as Tenerife First Excursions, shared a video showing his meal — two slices of toast, two sausages, two rashers of bacon, a tomato and two eggs — all served with brown sauce in front of the sea.
The total cost was just €4.60 (£3.42), which he noted is the price of a single pint in the UK. "I've got a full English breakfast in the sun for it," he said in the clip. He explained there were no beans because he does not like them, so he requested his breakfast without.
The video has been viewed thousands of times, with viewers quick to comment on the bargain. One said breakfast in Marmaris, Turkey, costs double that. Another noted that in Alicante, Spain, a similar meal would set you back almost €10 (£8.65). A third claimed it would cost upwards of €10 in Dublin.
Others shared their own experiences in Tenerife, with one person saying they paid €5 for a similar breakfast in Las Américas. Another said they always go to the same spot for breakfast and called it "really good".
Tenerife is generally considered an affordable European destination.
