Simply Florida Travel Ltd, a Glasgow-based travel agency specialising in holidays to the United States, has ceased trading, leaving all booked holidays cancelled. The company, which offered packages to destinations including Disneyland, Disney World, Universal Studios, New York City, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Miami and various cruises, stopped trading as an Air Travel Organisers' Licensing (ATOL) scheme-protected provider on January 20.
Companies House records show that the independent operator requested to be struck off the register on October 13, 2025, and was formally dissolved on January 6. The ATOL scheme, run by the Civil Aviation Authority, is designed to protect customers who book package holidays or flights with registered travel firms in the event of a company collapse.
The shutdown follows a series of collapses in the UK travel industry, including Regen Central Ltd, Gold Crest Holidays, Great Little Escapes, Jetline Travel and Asiara UK Ltd. Customers affected by the cancellation of their Simply Florida Travel Ltd holidays are advised to contact the Civil Aviation Authority for assistance.
