A holidaymaker was left disgusted after witnessing a couple's unsanitary behaviour on an EasyJet flight from Tenerife. Erin Butcher, 27, from Southwark, South East London, was returning from a family holiday when she noticed a woman's bare feet propped up on a tray table.
Ms Butcher then watched in horror as the woman's partner began picking at her French pedicure toenails and flicking debris around. The fashion merchandiser said the couple continued the activity for 20 minutes, while other passengers laughed nervously.
She filmed the incident and posted it on TikTok on July 31, where it quickly went viral, garnering over 336,200 views. Ms Butcher described the scene as 'unhygienic' and a depressing end to her holiday.
'I felt so disgusted and I couldn't believe it,' she said. 'Even to do that in the privacy of your own home is questionable but to put them on a tray table where people are eating off all day.'
Social media users reacted with horror, with comments such as 'totally gross' and 'that's disgusting anywhere'. Ms Butcher expressed relief that she was not seated next to the couple, but said she had 'the perfect view' from her aisle seat.
