Maya Jama's Cotswolds cottage is listed on Airbnb at £490 a night, a rate that exceeds several five-star hotels in London, according to The Sun. The Love Island presenter, 31, purchased the three-bedroom property for £520,000 through her Penny Property Holdings company in December.
Property portfolio and earnings
The cottage is part of Jama's expanding property portfolio, which also includes a home in Hampstead, London, and a £4 million mansion in Cheshire shared with her footballer ex, Ruben Dias. The Sun reported that Jama is generating significant revenue by renting out the luxury cottage on Airbnb and Booking.com.
During peak summer months, she has charged high prices. A stay between September 3 and 5 reportedly cost £980, or £490 per night. This is more expensive than several five-star London hotels, including the W Hotel, the Sheraton, and the Intercontinental Hotel, the outlet revealed.
Guest reviews and other homes
Jama's country retreat has proven popular with guests, ranking 4.97 out of 5 on Airbnb and 9.8 out of 10 on Booking.com. One holidaymaker wrote: “Had a great time away here. Easy to walk into village and plenty of room in the cottage to chill out as a family.” Another added: “The local produce basket was a lovely added touch!”
Jama also owns a house in Hampstead, bought in 2023. She told The Standard in 2024: “Bristol will always have my heart as I was raised there, but since I was 16 it’s been London. I just bought a new house and it’s in the decorating stages now so I’m looking forward to being settled there.” Her first flat was in Ladbroke Grove, which she described as “right on the doorstep of the Notting Hill Carnival route, so it was such a great location and always a vibe.”
Burglary incident
In January, Jama and her then-boyfriend Dias were left “devastated” when burglars ransacked their £4 million home in Alderley Edge. Dias, 28, was playing away against Galatasaray, and Jama had been in South Africa filming Love Island: All Stars. Thieves stole designer jewellery, electronics, handbags, and clothes worth thousands, The Sun reported. Dias dialled 999 after returning from the Champions League win to find the four-bedroom property, previously an Omaze prize draw home, upturned. The couple are believed to have split in May.
