Jet2 has announced it will launch flights and package holidays to Tunisia for summer 2027, with bookings now open for departures from May 1 to October 31 next year. The tour operator will serve the North African destination from five UK airports: Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, and Manchester.
Flight Schedule and Destinations
All flights will arrive at Enfidha–Hammamet International Airport in northern Tunisia, near the capital Tunis and popular resort areas. The schedule includes twice-weekly flights on Wednesday and Saturday from Birmingham and London Stansted, and two flights per week from Manchester on Tuesday and Friday. East Midlands and Leeds Bradford will each have weekly flights.
Customers booking package holidays can choose from a range of 3 to 5-star hotels in resorts including Port el Kantaoui, Skanes, Mahdia, Sousse, Yasmine Hammamet, and Hammamet.
Attractions and Culture
Tunisia offers a mix of beach relaxation and cultural exploration. Visitors can explore the vast Medina of Hammamet, the palm-lined seaside of Sousse, and the Roman Amphitheatre of El Jem, which once held 30,000 spectators for gladiator battles. Further south, desert landscapes and salt flats include filming locations from the original Star Wars trilogy and traditional Berber cave homes.
The capital Tunis features a medina dating back to 698 AD, housing market stalls, mosques, and houses, and is home to one-tenth of the city's population. The Bardo National Museum holds the world's largest collection of Roman mosaics and artefacts from ancient Carthage.
Industry Response
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2, said: “With year-round sunshine, rich culture and fantastic sunshine, Tunisia has something for everyone and we know how immensely popular it will be.” Fakhri Khalsi, acting UK Director at the Tunisian National Tourist Office, added: “We are delighted to welcome the launch of Jet2’s holiday and flight programmes to Tunisia starting in summer 2027.
