Hitchin Lavender Farm: Last Days Before August 15 Closure

Hitchin Lavender farm in Hertfordshire, less than an hour from London, closes for the season on August 15. The farm offers views of purple lavender fields and yellow sunflowers.

Last Chance for Summer Flowers

TikTok user Dani Dimitrova shared a video of the farm, urging visitors to go before the closure. She said: "You only have until August 15 to visit one of the prettiest flower fields near London! If you've been looking for the perfect summer day trip, this is your sign."

She added: "With rows of lavender, vibrant sunflowers and colourful wildflowers, it genuinely feels like stepping into a painting. It's one of the last chances to enjoy the UK's summer flower season before it ends."

The farm also has wildflower meadows, a teahouse, food trucks, gift shops and a museum. It reopens in October for Halloween-themed events, including pumpkin picking.

Visitor Reviews and Concerns

Another said: "Enjoyed my time leisurely strolling through these beautiful fields whilst collecting my bag of lavender (which is now in my bedroom giving it a lovely fragrance). Much nicer than just buying it pre-bagged! Unique place."

However, some visitors raised concerns about the cost. One person described it as "extremely poor value", noting entry is £10 per adult and £7.50 per child, with extra charges for picking lavender. They said: "We paid around £50 in total and were only there for about an hour."
