Fresh hopes have emerged in the search for three-year-old British boy Oliver Pugh, who has been missing from a Spanish resort since July. Social media posts suggest his mother, Anastasiia Chikina, may be in Thailand.
Oliver was last seen in Marbella on the Costa del Sol on 4 July, shortly before a court granted full custody to his father. The boy's father has offered a reward of £87,000 for information leading to his son's return.
Two Instagram stories posted a week apart appear to show Chikina inside the Iconsiam shopping centre in Bangkok. One image from 31 August shows her dining near a juice bar; another from 5 September shows her and her 15-year-old sister walking past a Cartier shop. Further details, including escalator positions and ceiling style, corroborate the location.
Chikina, a Russian influencer, was barred from leaving Spain and ordered to hand over Oliver's passport. She claimed to have lost it before allegedly fleeing the country. An abduction investigation and a missing persons appeal have been launched.
In a plea to his ex-partner, the father said: 'Oliver needs and deserves to have both of his parents in his life... by taking him away, the only one truly being hurt is Oliver.' The Foreign Office confirmed it is supporting the family.
