Celebrity Winemakers: Stars Behind the Bottles You Didn't Know About
Celebrity Winemakers: Stars Behind the Bottles

According to Kylie Minogue, “celebrity wine has more to prove.” The pop star is among a growing list of celebrities who have ventured into winemaking, creating labels that offer genuine quality and innovation.

What Makes Celebrity Wine Successful?

Kylie Minogue, founder of Kylie Minogue Wines, explains: “I think celebrity wine has more to prove, at least initially, but we had total commitment to the quality of the wine and it had to be authentic to my style and taste.” She adds that her first meeting with Benchmark Drinks made it clear they shared these principles. “If the concept was to just put my name on a bottle, the meeting would have been a very short one!”

Minogue is deeply involved in every aspect, from taste direction to packaging design. She started with little knowledge but has since learned “so much about the industry and the parallels with music and wine.”
