Missing British Tourist Found Alive After Vanishing from Airport

A British tourist who disappeared from an airport boarding queue in Spain has been found alive, his family confirmed. Jason Taylor, 36, vanished on Saturday morning while waiting for an easyJet flight from Alicante to Birmingham after a stag do.

Taylor was last seen leaving the queue due to a problem with his boarding pass. His disappearance prompted relatives to fly to Spain, and Spanish police launched a search. The Welsh engineer was spotted by a British woman walking along Urbanova Beach, close to the airport, leading to his reunion with family.

His aunt, Robbie Fitzgerald, announced on social media: “Jason has been found and is currently with his family. Thank you all for sharing and caring.” No further details were provided on how or where he was found.

Taylor’s friend Gaz Edwards had earlier described the events: “We arrived at Alicante airport together on Saturday morning. Jason had lost his phone and his boarding pass would not scan. He went to ask for assistance and that was the last we saw of him.”

CCTV footage showed Taylor leaving the airport on foot around 9am. He was wearing dark shorts, a white collared T-shirt, and white trainers, carrying a black wheeled suitcase. It remains unclear why he vanished or where he spent nearly four days.

A source said Taylor was sighted on Urbanova Beach, about three miles from the city centre. Police were alerted and he was reunited with his family. It is not yet known if he will return to the UK or stay in Spain.
