Disneyland Paris has been plunged into chaos as visitors reported 'insane' queues for a new ride, leading many to question whether the experience is worth the wait. The opening of the Frozen Ever After attraction at the newly renamed Disney Adventure World prompted huge crowds, with footage shared online showing packed queues stretching around a new lagoon.
TikTok account Mickey Visit, which describes itself as a Disney guide, posted a video of the scene, noting that the wait time was a posted 160 minutes just 20 minutes after park opening. The clip, which has been viewed more than 19,000 times, sparked a wave of reactions, with some calling the queues 'chaotic' and others saying they would avoid the ride altogether.
One person commented: 'I was in that line for five hours,' while another pointed out that the same ride already exists at Epcot in Florida, adding: 'It's not worth a long wait.' A third viewer remarked: 'Imagine spending hundreds of dollars on Disney tickets only to spend the whole entire day in line for a ride. No thank you! Not worth it!'
However, some visitors suggested that the crowds for Frozen meant other attractions were quieter. One fan said: 'The great opportunity to go on other rides and wait 10 and under minutes,' while another recalled a similar experience when the Star Wars ride opened, noting that every other ride in the park was empty.
The new World of Frozen area is part of what Disney has called one of the most 'ambitious transformations' in the resort's history. Josh D'Amaro, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, said in a statement: 'Few stories have resonated with fans around the world like Frozen. From the screen to our parks, cruises and beyond, its impact continues to grow, and with World of Frozen and Disney Adventure World, we're giving guests at Disneyland Paris the opportunity to experience that story in entirely new ways.'
Disneyland Paris has been approached for comment on the queues.
