Retailers are offering physical copies of the PlayStation 5 game Wolverine for less than Sony's digital version, which is priced at £69.99. Smyths is selling the disc for £57.99, a saving of £12. Amazon and Very have it at £62.99, while EE offers it for £61.99 or as part of a console bundle costing £586.98.
Pre-order bonuses and special edition details
All pre-orders include early unlocks for Wolverine’s classic brown suit, a reflective claws cosmetic, one technique point, and four PlayStation avatars featuring Wolverine, Jean Grey, Sabretooth, and Mystique. Sony is also offering a digital-only special edition for £79.99, which adds five exclusive suits, five exclusive claws, and four technique points.
Gameplay and story
Developed by Insomniac Games, Wolverine is a linear, non-open-world experience where Wolverine travels the globe. The story involves investigating mutant abductions and confronting mutant-hating Bolivar Trask and his cybernetic Reavers.
Cross-promotion with Marvel Tōkon
Sony is running cross-promotion with the fighting game Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, including Wolverine’s Tōkon suit in the Insomniac game and the Insomniac suit as free DLC for Marvel Tōkon on September 1. Spider-Man’s Tōkon suit will also be free for Spider-Man 2.
