Home Cooks Turn to Tefal Chopper to Speed Up Veg Prep, Amazon Shoppers Say
Tefal Chopper Saves Time on Veg Prep, Amazon Reviewers Agree

The Tefal Choppeo Mini Food Processor/Chopper, priced at £47.08 on Amazon (reduced from £49.99), is helping home cooks who are bored of preparing vegetables save time in the kitchen. The compact gadget features a 500W motor, four stainless steel blades, and a 2-litre borosilicate glass bowl, allowing users to chop, mince, and blend ingredients like vegetables, herbs, nuts, and meat quickly and evenly.

Two Speed Settings and Safety Features

The chopper offers two speed settings for control over texture, from fine chopping to chunky salsas. A dedicated storage lid keeps prepared ingredients fresh, while an anti-slip base ensures stability. Safety is built in: the appliance won't operate unless the bowl is correctly secured. The bowl is dishwasher safe and resistant to knocks and temperature changes.

Customer Reviews: Positive Feedback

One five-star Amazon reviewer said: 'I got this little chopper as I get so bored of preparing vegetables and herbs when cooking and was looking to speed up the process a bit. I like how compact it is and despite that the bowl is surprisingly spacious. The motor is powerful enough to handle tougher ingredients and the two speed settings give good control depending on what you’re making. I especially like how evenly it chops with no large chunks left behind.'

Another added: 'Best chopper I have ever had! You can even chop ice cubes. I love that you can use it for family portions and the bowl is glass which makes it very hygienic. Very easy to clean as well and great price for this quality.'

A third commented: 'Excellent product, arrived well-packed and has earned a useful place in my kitchen and food preparation.'

Minor Criticisms

Some shoppers noted a drawback. One wrote: 'This really is a very good processor and as I only ever use it to make hummus, I find one annoying drawback. The first step in the mixing process is to blend the lemon juice with the Tahini paste. What happens is that the lowest blade which sits a few millimetres off the base does not mix all the paste with the juice. It leaves a layer that does not reach the lowest blade. This necessitates some intervention with a spatula to prise it from the base. Not a massive inconvenience but annoying nonetheless.'

Apart from that, the reviewer praised the build quality and glass bowl, adding: 'It looks like a unit built to last. It's a nice touch also that the mixing bowl is made from glass and not plastic. The size at 500ml allows me to make a large batch in one session.'
