O2 is offering eligible pay monthly customers an automatic £49 boost for USA roaming until Monday, July 20, in celebration of England reaching the World Cup quarter-finals. The major mobile network is extending its roaming benefit to customers travelling to the USA to support the Three Lions.
Who Qualifies for the Roaming Offer?
The extended offer means pay monthly Classic Plan customers can now roam in the USA for free until midnight Pacific Time on Monday, July 20. This also applies to Volt customers and those with a Plus Plan or Ultimate Plan. The O2 Travel Bolt-On normally costs £7 per day, so customers taking advantage over the seven-day period could save up to £49.
Customers on a pay monthly Classic Plan need to log into their MyO2 account and activate the O2 Travel Bolt-On (priced at £7 per day) or buy a data bolt-on (1GB, 3GB, or 5GB). O2 will then automatically credit back the cost of the bolt-on to cover roaming charges. The USA roaming credit applies from midnight Pacific Time (8am GMT) on Monday, July 6, until midnight Pacific Time (8am GMT) on Monday, July 20. Pay As You Go customers are not eligible for this offer.

The offer allows customers in the USA to use their mobile data for free between now and July 20, enabling them to stay connected and share holiday highlights with friends and family back home. O2 stated that this gesture builds on its status as the only major UK operator to include EU roaming as standard at no extra cost up to 25GB across all plans.

Additionally, England fans supporting from home can enjoy a free hot drink from Greggs through Priority from O2. Available the morning after England matches, customers can redeem their free hot drink in Greggs stores nationwide from 8am until 11am via the Priority app.
